Prior to employment at City Wide, all employees go through a thorough criminal background check. Applicants with any felonies or misdemeanors that involve substance abuse, fraud, domestic violence, or violent crime are automatically removed from consideration. Applicants must also submit to a drug test as well as a monthly drug test throughout the duration of their employment with City Wide.
For those who apply to be a driver with our team, we require a valid Class C California Driver’s License. We also review the applicants driving record with reports provided by the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Drivers are also required to be certified in first aid. Applicants who are selected are not eligible to transport clients until the company has received a first aid certificate from either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Drivers are also required to attend a sexual harassment training once a year provided by the California Chamber of Commerce.
City Wide’s EMT’s are required to hold a valid certification with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
